In collaboration with a Rutgers University professor, we designed a series of incognito posters to help conduct an NIH-funded research study on how racism affects the overall health of urban African Americans.
Bold and colorful posters were placed on bus shelters in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn from July to December 2012. They delivered stark facts about inequality in predominantly African American neighborhoods, as a means of raising consciousness and minimizing negative health outcomes.
